Joining Freemasonry

Freemasonry is a fraternity of men committed to integrity, self-improvement, and service to others. Our Lodge Officers uphold time-honored traditions, while welcoming men of today who seek to better themselves and their communities.

Freemasonry is not a club you join instantly; it’s a deliberate journey. In Texas, this journey is guided by the Grand Lodge of Texas, and follows a consistent process for every man who petitions a lodge:

  1. Learn about Masonry – Attend an open event, talk with our members, and discover what we stand for.

  2. Express your interest – Freemasonry never solicits; a man must ask. When you’re ready, reach out to us.

  3. Meet the Lodge – We invite interested men to visit, meet our members, and ask questions.

  4. Submit a Petition – If you decide to pursue membership, you’ll complete a petition for Pasadena Masonic Lodge #1155 A.F&A.M.

  5. Investigation and Ballot – Your petition is reviewed and you’ll be visited by a committee of members. The Lodge then votes on your membership.

  6. Begin Your Masonic Journey – If elected, you’ll take the first of three degrees that introduce you to the principles of Freemasonry.

This process ensures that both you and the Lodge have time to decide if Masonry is right for you.
